Savory, Creeping - Satureja spicigera
Type: Perennial
Creeping Savory, or Satureja spicigera is a frost hardy perennial that is similar to its shrubby cousin, Winter Savory, but will creep and form a small dense groundcover, reaching 8cm high and a spread of about 30cm.
In the late summer, Creeping savory is covered in tiny white flowers that look enchanting against the bright green linear leaves, that have an aromatic pungency to them, as befits a Savory.
An excellent culinary herb, and a very pretty garden plant.
