Sage 'Oriental Dove' (Salvia 'Oriental Dove') Herb in 1L Pot

Salvia 'Oriental Dove' is a relatively new Salvia introduced in 2020 it has fragrant deep purple flowers , the lower petals are edged in white giving an almost luminous quality to the blooms which flower from June to October they look magnificent against the aromatic bright green leaves. A great addition to the garden Salvia 'Oriental Dove' prefers a sunny spot flourishing in a well drained border or in a large pot. As with all salvias it is a great plant to bridge the gap between late spring flowering and the start of autumn flowering varieties. The Ideal time for cutting back flowering shrub sages, is the spring once new growth can be seen and risk of frost has past. Cut up to half the plant back shaping as needed. If Sage's are becoming leggy then a light summer cut may be required. Dead heading the old flowers will encourage new flowers all season.
