Thyme is grown the world over as it is such a versatile plant, not only is its foliage is attractive, the flowers are long-lasting and very pretty, and it is drought tolerant - an overall easy-care plant. On top of that it is one of the most useful herbs for the kitchen.
Thyme Lemon Variegated reaches a maximum height reaches a height of 20 cm and with its small green and gold variegated leaves and pale lilac flowers, this thyme is an excellent ground cover plant, it is suitable for planting in the rock garden, herb garden or the front of a border, or Thymes are also known as very good container plants. Thyme Lemon Variegated likes a well-drained light soil, and it should not be too rich in nutrients as this will only encourage the plant to grow 'leggy' and lose its compact shape, also ensure that the plant is cut back after flowering again to help maintain shape. Being a native of the Mediterranean it needs a place in full sun.

I love this lemon variegated herb plant. It has beautiful leaves and is now covered in a mass of pink flowers. I will I try using it in my cooking once it has become more established. I was a first time customer of Hooks Green Herbs and I would definitely buy again . They were fast to deliver and well packed and labelled. The plants arrived in excellent condition, have been re-potted and are looking very good. The seeds have been sown, but seedlings have not yet appeared.
