Tree Onion is a hardy perennial that can grow up to 1.5m tall. Typical of the Allium family, thick hollow cylindrical stems are produced in the first year of growth. Small greenish white flowers appear in the second summer of growth, and these are followed by small bulbs which form at the top of the stem and are quite fascinating to look at followed by small white flowers.  The Tree Onion is also known as the Egyptian or walking onion

    Waiting for their first steps!

I am extremely pleased with my 'Egyptian Walking Onions'. They arrived in good order due to the excellent packaging. Each pot contained or than the stated number and they were in good health. The root development in each pot was just right, no signs of having just been potted up or being 'Pot Bound'. It has been a pleasure doing business with Hookgreen Herbs.
