Blackcurrant Sage Leaves - a couple of culinary ideas



Not only a beautiful Garden plant for the wonderful cerise pink flowers and the scented leaves but the leaves can be made into a tea or added to summer drinks 

Blackcurrant Salvia Tea

200ml hot water 

3 tsp fresh blackcurrant leaves ( you can adjust to taste they are strong ) 

Steep the leaves in water for 2-3 minutes  - discard leaves and enjoy.


Blackcurrant Salvia Ice

Add fresh leaves and flowers to ice trays add water and freeze and add to summer drinks.
