The Australian Mint Bush is a fabulous herb to grow in the border, with its stunning variegated green leaves and cup shaped purple flowers in May.The vivid colour of the flowers make an attractive complement to grey leaved shrubs.
Growing to over 2m, the Australian Mint Bush has tiny variegated leaves and needs to be kept warm over winter as it will not tolerate the cold.
Herb Usage
Use the strong menthol mint foliage in potpourri and as an inhalation for coughs and colds.
