Autumn Salvia 'Clotted Cream' has beautiful pale cream flowers with small narrow leaves. Salvia ''Clotted Cream' loves the sun as it is native to Texas and Mexico. It has semi-evergreen leaves in the right area sheltered from frost it may remain evergreen and despite its common name flowers from Jul to September. Autumn Sage prefers a sunny spot it enjoys moist but well drained soil, flourishing in a well drained border or in a large pot. It will grow to a height of approx 90cm. The ideal time for cutting back flowering shrub sages, is the Spring once new growth can be seen and risk of frost has past. Cut up to half the plant back shaping as needed. If Sages are becoming leggy then a light summer cut may be required. Dead heading the old flowers will encourage new flowers all season.
