Hyssop 'Pink Pop' (Agastache 'Pink Pop') Herb in 9cm Pot
Flowering in abundance, Agastache 'Pink Pop' is an attractive half hardy perennial to give colour and scent to your garden. Also known as Hyssop 'Pink Pop' or Mexican Bee balm it has aromatic foliage reminiscent of aniseed. The branching flower spikes are full of bright pink, tubular blooms flowering over a long period from late summer into late autumn. It is a beautiful addition to any Garden with the flowers being great for cutting. It is native south Western USA where it is also known as Hummingbird mint as they will feed from its nectar rich flowers.
It is a drought tolerant plant and as such it benefits from good drainage and a sheltered position in full sun. It has a height and spread of 30cm x 30cm, and is a half hardy Herbaceous perennial which will require some over winter protection.
Herb Usage
The highly aromatic anise-flavoured young leaves are used as a flavouring in salads and in tea. This particular variety of Hyssop is grown primarily for its floral display.
