Mentha spicata, (Granny's Original Mint) Herb Plant

£3.99

Some Herbs may be too tall for our standard packaging and will be trimmed to fit. This will not be detrimental to the plant but will mean that these herbs will flower later in the year.

The Blister packs used to protect our beautiful herbs during transit are made from 100% recycled plastic and can be recycled kerbside.

Granny's Original Mint (Mentha spicata) Herb in 9cm Pot

Mint will thrive anywhere, preferring moist partly shady areas, and are easy to grow from cuttings or replanting of runners. To control spread, this herb should be planted in sunken bottomless containers and kept well watered to ensure good leaf production.

Granny's Original Mint will produce small mauve flower spikes in mid to late summer, and grow 30-60cm tall.

Herb Usage

This is the mint that Granny used in sauces to complement meats (mint sauce with lamb), soups, salads, vegetable dishes, sweet dishes and drinks.
