Mexican Hyssop 'Sangria' (Agastache mexicana) Herb in 1 litre Pot
Mexican Hyssop has lemon scented pink salvia-like flowers which are borne on 30cm spikes these make good cut flowers and are also edible . It makes an impressive plant 3’-4’ tall and 2’ wide. Bee friendly it has lemon-scented leaves from summer into early autumn. It is a beautiful addition to any Herb Garden. A Drought tolerant plant it benefits from good drainage and a sheltered position.
Herb Usage
The highly aromatic lemony young leaves are used as a flavouring, in salads and in tea. and why not pop one in your sangria for extra flavour !
