Salvia 'Ember's Wish' is native from Australia. It is a new hybrid Salvia that has large scarlet red flowers with stunning coral calyces. It flowers continuously from early summer until autumn frosts. The plant is bushy and freely branching, producing many stems which each carry an abundance of flowers. Salvia 'Ember's Wish' will grow to a height of 80cm x 60 cmwide. Sage 'Ember's wish' prefers a sunny spot flourishing in a well drained border or in a large pot. The ideal time for cutting back flowering shrub sages, is the Spring once new growth can be seen and risk of frost has past. Cut up to half the plant back shaping as needed. If Sages are becoming leggy then a light summer cut may be required. Dead heading the old flowers will encourage new flowers all season. Can survive winter in very well protected situations, especially if sheltered from frosts.
